Questions many don't know
the first thing about how to respond
Little do they look inside
or even think of what's going on
I am given a blank look
Sometimes I have to explain
Most will laugh me away
but there are few who do not hesitate
These are the ones that dig down deep
and speak truth about it
Even if it takes some time,
and they ponder a bit on it
Then I am eagerly anticipating
to learn how the gears are moving inside
and how a person, happy or sad or somewhere in between
can choose to share instead of hide
I cherish these moments
with a certain kind of pride
