| One of my favorites of all time. As a teenager until today, it is one of the few I can re-read and still thoroughly enjoy. A great plot, a lovely romance, and enough clean intrigue to keep it interesting!! Cannot recommend it enough. | ||
One of my favorite books that I enjoy re-reading every couple of years.
3. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen Classics, Romance, Historical Fiction
So everything everyone raves about in regards to this book? Yeah, it’s true. Absolutely wonderful.
4. Blackmoore by Julianne Donaldson Regency Romance, Historical Fiction
| There are no words to express the depths of how my emotions became entangled with the words of this story. The hurt, the struggle, the love, the very realness of the characters... it could all be felt. It played out as a movie before my eyes, drawing me in and not letting me go until the last page, and even then I am still swimming in thoughts of the Moors, of a teasing half smile, and of midnight meetings under the stars... emotionally exhausted, but still very much in love. 5. The Kiss of Deception by Mary E. Pearson Fantasy, Young Adult, Romance This was such a great story from start to finish. Even while a bit predictable overall, the details continued to surprise me throughout. It was an adventure filled with mystery and romance, and loyalty. I appreciated the friendships as I always do, and the fact that you don't know who is who for a bit adds for a lot of intrigue. I was hooked! I enjoyed reading the rest of the Remnant Chronicles Series with equal satisfaction. This is just the start of an amazing medieval ride! 6. The Book Thief by Markus Zusak Historical Fiction, Young Adult The narrator, the story, the words, the stories in the words... just everything. It is popular for a very good reason. 7. These Is My Words: The Diary of Sarah Agnes Prine, 1881-1901 Historical Fiction, Romance, Westerns This book was simply amazing. I can't even explain how much it made me feel at home, with family, and among the pain and love experienced. The humor of the main character made each diary entry just flow quickly from page to page and before I knew it, I was completely invested. This is first of a series, and while I enjoyed those, not nearly as much as this one. | ||
