why are people so cruel?
what happened to kindness?
it was lost somewhere
between the ego and the madness
fumbling over empathy
losing all of its mildness
and i’m still choking
on all of my gullible blindness
when do you lose sight
of who you were regardless?
and when do you forget
that i am still full of gentleness?
that i can still be so hurt
is this considered my weakness?
