He knew me
in all my
intricate detail
He raised his eyes
and saw me
I was a puzzle
he knew quite well
One by one
my pieces fumbled together
and snapped right into place for him
The nerves vibrated
My heart pumped wildly
I made sense within
He held the magnetic force,
the kinetic energy,
the moon to my sea
It called to my heart,
It pulled at my soul,
for reader, he was me
Walking this earth
living each day
with half of you away,
You make due
Oh, you make due
for what is there left to say?
You are a little less
missing that bit of
feeling all complete,
But you love them
so, you let them go,
and you wish them happy.
