When I wasn't a stupid girl
the small blip of a moment
when I wasn't
The floor blossomed before me
with daybreak
The sky illuminated above me
without mistake
I saw clear skies for that time
honest, pure, and still
And the beauty was that it wasn't
in my head anymore,
It was real
For that split second
it was real
And I loved with wild abandon
because I received the abundance;
I gave over-abundantly
And, lo and behold,
it came back to me
Once when I wasn't a stupid girl
but a strong woman of autonomy
In that blip of a moment
the world came full circle upon me
and no one had the heart to say,
or perhaps I just did not have the knowledge
that from then on
everything
everything
that shined lovingly and brilliantly
would leave
So, in the wonder of that moment
I breathed freely
and at peace
