the light bends just right
across that tree
right upon that leaf
the shadows strike
a contrast a shade different
from the last memory
the sun is setting
in perfect shades of
blue, yellow, and pink
and my fingers and eyes
capture a moment
that is whimsical,
grandiose, and awe-inspiring
