and this is why you never judge
what you can’t perceive
for myself, i would have laughed
in utter disbelief
but one thing i’ve learned
is it makes you empathetic
there is no shame in another’s pain
and everyone’s a critic
perhaps it’s not how you wanted it to be
but you just do your best
say a prayer to your God
dry your eyes and lift your head
