meet a wall
bow to its height
scale it only
with God’s might
exist amongst
humbling means
exalted for giving
all of me
keeping focused
my heart is the fool
and will be forced to submit
to a lasting rule
my body is limited
my mind not yet reached its peak
and the race to the end
is all that i seek
so whether i make it
crawling on hands and knees
broken and/or vindicated
remains to be seen
