over 40 years

they loved their way

close so close

compatible and true

he built their home

just as she wanted him to

she is learning

to live with him not around

how to get along with new ideas

to keep two feet on the ground

she is motherly to me

gives me the best advice

smiling and laughing

with tears in her eyes

I do not know

how to absolve my own grief

when she is so much

stronger than me

I will take her ways

and adopt them as mine

I will laugh I will smile

I will stay good and kind
