Your Fear

What can I say
to change the way
you reason all the
scary parts away?

Every ounce of me
resonates certainty
that you wish to be
everything but free.

But you fear the ounce
will want the world,
and then your control
will become unfurled.

You fear the magnitude
of the waves.
That they may pull you down
where you can't be saved.

What can I say,
so that the fear will go away?
How can I prove
that it will be okay?

There is a world
where I live and breath
Where there is love
and warmth and reasoning.

Perhaps your fear
is the security that you want.
I can't take that away.
I can only watch you run.
