the man who sleeps 

to his own anger

his passionate nature 

to the times it didn’t work 

as he wanted it to 

nonchalance

sometimes they will say what 
they’ve been holding back
and look at me with a slight smile
and the cursed words pour out,
“it’s not that deep”
